SUGARCREEK, Ohio - A beloved tale of holiday redemption is coming back to the stage at Ohio Star Theater.

Back by popular demand from Nov. 18 through Dec. 15, “A Christmas Carol: The New Musical” offers a Broadway-style twist on the story of the miserly Ebeneezer Scrooge as he’s visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve. This marks the show’s third run at Ohio Star Theater.

“This incredible production continues to touch hearts and lift spirits,” said Ohio Star Theater Managing Director Larissa Carrick. “Whether you’re experiencing it for the first time or have made it part of your holiday traditions, you’re sure to leave feeling uplifted and ready to celebrate the season.”

“A Christmas Carol: The New Musical” features an original score by Steven Parsons, the composer of Ohio Star Theater’s two original Bible-based musicals: “Elijah: Prophet of Fire” and “The Road to Damascus,” set to unforgettable lyrics by John Poppa. The cast includes Matthew Dugan as Scrooge, Lindsey Peters as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Logan Harper as the Ghost of Christmas Present, Deanté Bryant as the Ghost of Christmas Yet-to-Come, Jonathan Wilson as Bob Cratchit, Ellie Zumbach as Mrs. Cratchit, and Sarah Grosse as Tiny Tim.
