Grammy-winner Jason Crabb to perform in Sugarcreek

Holmes County Happenings

SUGARCREEK - Ohio Star Theater is welcoming an artist whose influence has touched nearly every part of the Christian and Gospel music community.

Multi-award-winning singer/songwriter Jason Crabb will visit the theater on March 20th to perform his newest single “God Can Use a Broken Man” and other chart-topping hits.

Jason is a two-time Grammy-winner and recipient of 22 Dove Awards, including Artist of the Year and Male Artist of Year. He most recently won the Bluegrass/Country/Roots Recorded Song of the Year for his collaboration with Dylan Scott on the title track to his newest album, Good Morning Mercy.

After fourteen years of traveling and performing with legendary Southern Gospel group The Crabb Family, Jason branched out as a solo artist. He describes the transition as exciting but challenging.

“I had this long history of performing with my family, and I wanted to honor that. I didn’t think I should do a complete 180 as a solo artist. The people I had loved through the years, I didn’t want them to feel abandoned. I wanted to bring them along as I tried new things. It involved a lot of prayer. But every concert, every song, every note, every moment – we’ve learned something.”

Featuring Jesus-centered lyrics and Jason’s signature, powerhouse vocals, Good Morning Mercy is a reflection of Jason’s love for sharing Christ with people.

“When I was out on the road with my family, my parents said, ‘One day the timing will be right.’ I’m so glad I waited on God’s timing to make this record. And I’m so thankful for the people I got to work with. Every person who touched it, from the mixer to the liner notes, was the best of the best.”

Jason Crabb’s March 20th performance at Ohio Star Theater begins at 7 pm. For tickets, visit ohiostartheater.com or call the box office at 855-344-7547.
