The fourth annual Jeep Jamboree is rolling into western Holmes County this weekend with more riders registered than ever before.
Jason Hawkins is an off-road enthusiast who has opened up nearly 70 miles of trails on the family property for Jeep Jamboree USA to host its sold-out event that is expected to draw 300 people from 20 states across the country, according to event promoter Josh Cohen.
Starting with a drive-in welcome Thursday evening at Village Motors leading to two days of testing the terrain on the hills of the Hawkins family property on County Road 27 near Brinkhaven, the Jeep Jamboree is a thrill-packed weekend for Jeep owners and off-road enthusiasts.
Jeeps, Jeeps and more Jeeps are expected to invade southwest Holmes County for the weekend Thursday-Saturday for the 2024 Jeep Jamboree. The event takes place on the Hawkins family property located along County Road 27, just south of US Route 62 near Brinkhaven. Provided By Josh Cohen
"The Killbuck Jamboree has been growing like crazy the last four years. It is now the second largest in the country," Cohen said. "The landowners, (the Hawkins family) have been very inviting and cutting new trails to keep participants entertained.
"The local support from Village Motors and their drive-in really adds to the fun," he said. "Participants always talk about it. Of course having great food from Real McCoy BBQ and Trailside Deli and lodging from the Holiday Inn are icing on the cake."

The jamboree features daily trail rides and an evening of family friendly fun, including music and dining.
The visitors bring toys to donate to the Holmes County Share-a-Christmas program, last year filling two Jeeps.
Hawkins said this is a way for his family to give back to the community.
