Emily portrayed Loretta in the Conway Twitty musical “It’s Only Make Believe”, and during frequent trips to visit the country star at her ranch in Hurricane Mills Tennessee, Emily traded stories and moments with Loretta that forged a strong bond and a real friendship between the two women. When Loretta died in October of 2022, her family knew that Emily and The Coalminers were the way to keep Loretta’s legacy alive. Together, The Coalminers and Emily deliver the most authentic recreation of a Loretta Lynn concert to be found anywhere….presenting the songs of Loretta Lynn the way she performed them and first-hand stories of their on-the-road adventures from the band who backed her at premier venues from Carnegie to Albert Hall, from Sydney Opera house to the Grand Ole Opryf and shares a unique viewpoint of Loretta’s music that can’t be duplicated by anyone else.
