Production Supervisor
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for supporting operations within our manufacturing facility. The candidate will oversee employees working in the Mandrel Finishing, Mandrel Forming and Vulcanizing areas, to deliver safe, high/quality, and efficient production that exceeds customer expectations.
RESPONSIBILITES
Ensure that all operators are following all standard operating procedures for Mandrel Finishing/Vulcanizing area
Performs timely quarterly / annual reviews for all team members
Must lead, train, coach and motivate team members to align with production needs and goals
Plan production jobs within the department looking at orders and delivery times to ensure on time delivery
Participate in daily leadership team meetings being prepared to discuss the area
Ensuring that the paperwork on production is completed in a timely and neat manner
Monitor, measure and report on production performance and accurate production reports
Ensure quality assurance and inspection of all materials and finished goods
Troubleshoot equipment for repair and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations
Help to establish and communicate expectations on production, quality and scrap for operators
Ensure a safe working environment is maintained and that safe practices are followed at all times
Investigate any quality issues found in the area and report it to quality
Participate in any disciplinary action or employee relation issues as required
Complete inventory process as required
Train new employees in the proper procedures within the department
Implement and maintain company policies and standards
Must work with other team leaders within and across departments to provide continuous growth and improvement
Perform all job responsibilities within Mandrel Finishing department as required
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must have 3-5 years related work experience or equivalent of minimum one year supervisor experience with education (Rubber Manufacturing experience preferred)
Lead by example, modeling professionalism and accountability
Extreme ownership, with ability to take full responsibility of team performance and results
Has proficiency in understanding and interpreting fabrication drawings
Strong analytical, problem solving and critical skills
Must have strong organization skills to set a plan for upcoming jobs
Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced environment
Ability to move/lift 50 lbs
Ability to read and measure hoses with caliper and tape measure
Ability to communicate in a courteous, efficient and effective manner to meet customer demands
Strong attention to detail for quality assurance
Able to work on feet for extended periods of time
Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications- Outlook, Excel, Word
Must follow all safety procedures / and become forklift certified withing the first 90 days
