Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston will be presenting on the Corporate Transparency Act. The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) is a federal law that requires certain US businesses to disclose their beneficial owners to the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). The CTA was passed in 2021 and went into effect on January 1, 2024, with reporting requirements for entities formed after that date. Businesses formed before January 1, 2024 have until January 1, 2025 to comply.
